Hard Rock Live Mexico City was the first performance venue of its kind to be opened. Inaugurated in December 1997, this spectacular venue has a capacity of 1000, and accommodates practically any event.

Hard Rock Live has been at the forefront of the music scene since it came to Mexico. It has acted as a catalyst for the growth of the music scene, and has served as a stepping stone for young bands. The venue has played host to major national and international acts. Black Uhuru played on the opening night bill, with Cheap Trick rocking the house the next night. Others who have performed include War, Molotov, Save Ferris, the Village People, Gloria Gaynor, Presuntos Implicados, KC & the Sunshine Band, Reel Big Fish, Mana, and Control Machete.
