Hard Rock's Memorable Moments in Memorabilia
July 7, 2009

The Hard Rock International Memorabilia Acquisitions Team was in full force at the Hard Rock Calling festival in London, England.  Over the course of four glorious days we managed to finagle our way to some incredible music memorabilia acquisitions, get some media exposure for our priceless Woodstock music memorabilia collection and have some fun hob-knobbing with rock-stars along the way! A few of the key items included:
  • Fan created signs used onstage during the Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band set, and our good friend Little Steven kindly donated his headscarf and the “shirt off his back” from the performance!
  • Neil Young and Paul McCartney (who blew the 50k+ crowd away with a duet of “A Day In The Life”) graciously stopped by to sign our Limited Edition custom “Ambassadors of Rock” guitar, and we were lucky enough to acquire two of the stage paintings of the night from Eric Johnson, that were actually painted on stage during Neil Young’s set and inspired by the music and the festival crowd.
  • Many of the days performers including Dave Matthews Band and James Morrison signed our Limited Edition “Ambassadors Of Rock” guitar.
  • Ben Harper donated a drum head signed by his entire band.
  • Priscilla Ahn donated a custom kazoo (that’s right – a KAZOO!), immediately following her acoustic performance in the Hard Rock VIP tent.
  • The Kooks also performed an acoustic set in the Hard Rock VIP tent, right before their  main stage festival performance. They donated a very special acoustic guitar that has been used in the studio to write many of their songs, as well as being used for shows during their World Tour.
